What are the best fly patterns for fly fishing in Slovenia?
For huchen: large light and heavy streamers made of natural or synthetic materials and other flashy fibers. Usually with 1 hook only.
For marble trout: from small to large nymphs in natural colors, also smaller or larger (and heavier) streamers when fishing larger and muddier waters. Dry fly in certain circumstances only, when fish is rising.
For brown and rainbow trout: from smaller to larger nymphs and streamers in different colors and shapes. Dry fly works in certain circumstances only when fish is rising.
For grayling: smaller nymphs in natural colors, various dry flies, especially from CDC. We strongly recommend F-Fly from size #16 to #24. Barbless hooks are mandatory.
