Huchen (Hucho hucho) is one of the largest European salmonid fish species. It lives in some of the rivers of the Danube river basin only. In Slovenia we also call it the king of the rivers.
Huchen fishing season usually starts on October 1st and lasts until February 14th. It is a fish of thousands of casts and it is not easy to catch one. On average, anglers catch specimens from 70 to 90 cm in length. Every year several trophy huchens are caught. In case you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.
